Hi there! I’m Norma Larson, a Mexican-American, born and raised in San Francisco. My family and friends describe me as fun, loving, goofy, and free spirited. I love my life and live it to the fullest. After experiencing several life changing episodes, I’ve learned that with hard work and determination, I can accomplish anything.

At eight, I had undergone surgery to remove a severe infection in my right hip. Doctors told me I’d never be able to run and jump like a normal kid. After one month in the hospital and two years of rehabilitation, I beat the odds with the love and support of my family and friends. To this day, whenever I’m told that I can’t do something, I always go back to that time and place in my mind to help me remember what it was like feeling helpless and alone. I never wanted to feel that way again.

Unfortunately my beautiful mother which was also my best friend suffered and passed away from cancer. It was the most difficult time in my life and it marked a significant chapter. It was then I came to realize how health and fitness was so important to me. I felt that without health, I have nothing. I’ve always been active as a teen and in my early twenties, but I never took fitness and health seriously. I was a cheerleader and was active in the School of Arts Dance. I even became a Certified Group Fitness Instructor but not because I was serious about working out, but because it was fun and I got to meet a lot of new and interesting people.

As my hobby turned into a lifelong passion, I became more focused in my fitness goals and objectives. I’m also more determined to teach and share my motivation as I continue to teach my Fitness and Boot Camp classes, personal train, massage therapy, and concentrate on my own personal fitness training. Now I’m currently in school to pursue my career, and get my masters degree in Kinesiology as a fitness professional.

Accomplishing your goals is the best feeling of all, and if I can be a catalyst for your fitness and health endeavors, I’ve exceeded my own expectations. Love yourself, believe in yourself, and know that you can do anything you set your heart to!
